LA DCFS Adds More GovQA Solutions
In December 2019, the Louisiana Department of Children & Family Services (DCFS) expanded its GovQA automated workflow platform beyond FOIA to allow approximately 175 internal users (90% of whom are lawyers), to process, manage, and track subpoenas, correspondence, cases, and special requests. Prior to adopting GovQA’s automated workflow tool, everything was manual. Now the department uses GovQA’s SLA color-coding to stay on top of caseloads.
Due to attorney/client privileges, very few of the highly confidential case file details are shared amongst users – so security profile permissions were key to the implementation process. Three request types (child support enforcement, child welfare, and legal correspondence/records) with different workflows, triggers and rules also keep the LA DCFS data segregated.
